Gregg Smith, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Gregg Smith, a co-founder of Proximiti, was most recently a founder, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Z-Tel Technologies, Inc. Prior to Z-Tel, Mr. Smith was a director of Premiere Technologies, Inc. from 1991 to 1997, executive vice president from 1994 to 1997 and vice president from 1991 to 1994. From 1987 to 1991, Mr. Smith was a management and financial consultant with Olympus Telecommunications, Inc. and Olympus Partners, Inc., companies that he founded. Mr. Smith has also held positions with NationsBank of Florida, N.A. and Chase Bank of Florida. Mr. Smith received his B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Charles W. McDonough, Chief Technology Officer

Charles W. McDonough is a co-founder of Proximiti. Prior to Proximiti, he had served as Senior Vice President--Chief Technology Officer for Z-Tel Technologies, Inc. since its founding. A key part of his responsibilities at Z-Tel was to develop innovative communication services, and while there he oversaw the development of Z-Tel's flagship enhanced communication product, the Personal Voice Assistant, which won three prestigious national technology innovation awards. Before his tenure at Z-Tel, Mr. McDonough was a partner at Andersen Consulting LLP, where he worked for 23 years. He received a B.A. in Industrial Engineering and a M.S. in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
