Medical Emergencies

Medical Emergency Handling
Recent federal legislation called HIPAA requires strict privacy controls.   This is great for personal security but can be very dangerous if someone is in an accident or is unconscious.

Proximiti provides an emergency card as part of its Internet Lockbox service (an electronic safe deposit box) that can store copies of important document and other information.

$19.99 per year.
$9.99 for additional family members.

Remember, this is not just for the elderly.   Anybody over 18 years of age, who wishes to remain in control of their medical care should they become incapacitated, needs to prepare in advance.

We offer My Internet Lockbox as a standalone service, but we also bundle it into Health Phone and My Assistant, so there are three great ways to get it.

Caregivers

Caregivers, whether family or professional, need only subscribe to our free Teammate service and request the senior to allow access to their information.   However, caregivers should consider My Internet Lockbox.   Not only does it provide protection to the caregiver, but it also provides a mechanism to document that you are a caregiver and to request that alternate arrangements be made for those under your care.
