Step 1: Install the Driver to your Computer
Download the Advantage ODBC driver and install it on your computer.
A file download screen will appear. Click Run to begin the download and installation process.
Depending on your security settings, you may see a warning message. If so, click Run to continue.
Once you run the installer, you will see the following screen. Click Next to begin the installation.
Review the Software License Agreement and Warranty as seen below, and click Next when you are ready to continue.
Select a location where you would like to store this application, or accept the default Destination Directory. We recommend you accept the default location.
Select the destination location for Advantage DLLs. We recommend you leave ?Install to the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 directory? checked and uncheck the ?Install to the ?REDISTRIBUTE? directory?. When ready, click Next. Your files should be installed at this point.
Then, select the character sets to be used based on the information provided. When complete, click Next.
When prompted, select whether or not to create icons.
You will then be prompted to select a program folder for installation. When ready, click Next to continue.
Select whether or not to view the readme file.
You should now see the following screen, indicating that the installation completed successfully. Click OK to complete Step 1.
